Hama: Silk Manufacturers and Merchants

Spanish traveler Domingo Francisco Jorge Badía y Leblich (d. 1818), better known by his pseudonym Ali Bey al Abbasi, remarks that one of the major commercial activities in Hama was the production and sale of silk products of considerable varieties. See also: Silk Weaver; Dyer.
