Aleppo: Producers of Goat Wool

Date: c. 1840

According to Sir John Bowring (d. 1872), large quantities of goat wool were imported into Aleppo from southern areas of Turkey. This wool was processed and manufactured in Aleppo. See also: Producer of Sheep Wool.
