Aleppo: Felt-Floor Covering Makers

Sir John Bowring (d. 1872) notes that the sheep wool produced and manufactured in Aleppo was used to produce a felt called ketzges. This was used for floor coverings, horse coverings, and the packing for goods. See also: Producer of Sheep Wool.
