Al–Abila: Linen Weavers

In his Aḥsan al-taqāsīm fi maʿrifat al-aqālīm, al-Muqaddasi (d. 991) mentions that linen cloth is made in al–Abila, near Busra. He also found workshops for the manufacture of brocade cloth. See also: Spinner; Tailor; Embroiderer.
