Al–Abila: Brocade Makers

In his Aḥsan al-taqāsīm fi maʿrifat al-aqālīm, al-Muqaddasi (d. 991) mentions that brocade is made in al–Abila, near Busra. He also found workshops for the manufacture of linen cloth. See also: Weaver; Tailor; Embroiderer.
